Baking Powder Biscuites

  • Yield: 0 Biscuits 1x


  • 2 Cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2/3 cup milk


  1. Preheat oven to 450 F
  2. Combine and sift dry ingredients
  3. Work in the butter with a dough blender, food processor or fork
  4. Add milk and stir until dough is soft
  5. Turn out on a slightly floured board and knead lightly
  6. Roll dough to a 1/3 inch thickness
  7. Cut biscuits and transfer to a greased/prepared baking sheet
  8. Bake 10 – 12 minutes


I like to shred the butter with a veggie grater to help it incorporate more easily.
